01 12 News UEFA officially announced that VAR will be used in the UEFA Knockout Stage.
Starting from the UEFA play-offs, all UEFA knockout matches will use the video assistant referee system.
This is the first time that VAR has been used in the UEFA knockout rounds, and it will be used from the knockout rounds to the finals this season.
This season’s UEFA knockout round play-offs will be held on February 16 and 23. The winning team will advance to the UEFA Europa League round of 16, and then compete with the eight group winners for the quarterfinals.
