Anthony Patterson has been confirmed to play for the England U21 team for the first time and will participate in this summer’s U21 European Championship.
However, he may enter the squad for England’s European preliminaries next month, or train with the England first team.
Anthony Patterson has been considered a potential fourth choice for England’s goalkeeper position. So far this season, he has played all 34 league games for Sunderland and conceded 38 goals.
In the goalkeeper position, Southgate has always believed that Pickford is the first choice, and Pope and Ramsdale are his substitutes.
