January 15 According to the latest report by The Athletic UK ace reporter David Ornstein,
Chelsea representatives, including global talent and transfer director Ben Winstanley and a senior board member, have traveled to Turkey for face-to-face talks with Shakhtar Donetsk, where the Ukrainian club is holding a training camp.
Discussions are currently centered on a fixed fee of €60m (£53m) to €70m (£62m), with a further €30m (£26.5m) to €40m (£35m)
) additional charges.
Miners’ public stance is that they believe Mudric is worth €100m (£88m), with bids between Chelsea and Arsenal now meaning the final figure could be closer to their asking price.
The 22-year-old Mudrik has been told directly by Miners that Chelsea are increasingly interested in his signing in the past few days.
The feeling right now is that both Miner and Mudrick are willing to get the deal done.
For the Ukrainian side, the achievability of any additional terms offered by potential buyers and the speed of payment of Mudrik’s offer are priorities.
