01, 09 News According to the latest report from The Athletic UK Chelsea reporter Simon Johnson,
Chelsea striker Sterling had a second scan of his hamstring this morning after the first scan was inconclusive.
The 28-year-old was injured in the opening stages of Chelsea’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City last Thursday.
Sterling was clearly unwell but managed to leave Stamford Bridge under the care of Chelsea’s medical team.
Sterling, who is anxiously awaiting the results of the second scan, does not want to rush his comeback, but has already set January 21 against Liverpool, his other former club, in the Premier League as his return game.
Chelsea are currently missing 10 first-team players through injury.
