Class is officially over.
According to previous TA reports, Southampton has decided to fire Hasenhuttl after losing 1-4 to Newcastle on Sunday.
They would have liked to wait until the winter break of the World Cup to make a decision, but have already taken action in advance.
Southampton also stated in the statement that Ruben Seles will serve as interim coach and the club will announce a new coach in due course.
At present, Southampton has only won 3 games in the opening 14 games of the Premier League, ranking 18th.
