Vine chose to retire due to heart problems.
Lucas Leiva is a Brazilian and a defensive midfielder. He played for Liverpool from 2007 to 2017 and represented the team in 346 appearances, during which he was deeply loved by Red Army fans.
Lucas moved to Serie A side Lazio from Liverpool in 2017, where he played for five seasons before returning to Brazil to join Gremio in June 2022.
Lucas Leiva was diagnosed with a heart problem in December 2022. After further examinations, he chose to retire a few days ago.
Liverpool FC paid tribute to Lucas Leiva on its official website and wished him all the best for the future.
