Aston Villa and Everton are both interested in signing out-of-favor Lyon striker Moussa Dembele this month.
The French striker’s contract expires at the end of the season and despite scoring 21 league goals for Lyon last season, his appearances have plummeted and he has managed just two goals this season.
The Frenchman has been on the radar of the likes of West Ham, Fulham, Wolves and Nottingham Forest this summer, but has decided to stay in Ligue 1.
According to the media, Lyon is open to a sale, while current Villa boss Unai Emery was keen to sign Dembele when he was in charge of Paris Saint-Germain.
And Danny Ince’s departure from the team to join West Ham United may accelerate this potential deal.
