Following the entry into force of the FIFA Football Agents Regulations (FFAR), FIFA on Monday formally established the Football Agents Working Group, comprising representatives of professional football stakeholders and agent organizations from around the world,
Will act as a permanent advisory body on football brokerage matters, including the practical implementation of the new framework and possible future revisions or changes to the FFAR.
Emilio García Silvero, FIFA’s chief legal officer, said: “The establishment of the working group is a key step that will allow us to engage in a constructive dialogue with brokerage organizations around the world on the implementation of the new framework and any potential future changes.”
FIFA also stated that after FFAR came into force, 2,249 applications for agent licenses have been received, and candidates who are eligible to take the FIFA Football Agent Examination can choose to take the exam on April 19 and September 20 this year, 10
From January 1, only licensed brokers can conduct relevant business.
