February 5th, the 19th round of the Bundesliga, Dortmund at home 5-
1 victory over Freiburg ushered in four consecutive victories.
After the game, coach Terzic praised the team for playing an almost perfect second half, and expressed his special joy for Allais’ goal.
For the first 45 minutes of the game:
Terzic: “We controlled the game from the beginning and were very dominant. We managed not to give the opponent corner kicks throughout the game, because we knew that was one of Freiburg’s weapons.”
“The game changed because of two yellows and one red. There was a stage between the 30-45 minutes of the game that we absolutely didn’t like, we played too passively. In the 1-1 goal
We were not consistent at the time, even though we had two chances to clear.”
For the second half of the game:
Terzic: “We played very well in the second half, it was almost perfect, because we did a really good job of choosing positions, passing the ball and speeding up the game, and we were also great in terms of putting pressure on the opponent.
”
“Even when we lost the ball, we didn’t give the opponent a chance to breathe. We like the fact that we know we can. That’s what we have to continue to do in the next games.”
Regarding Adeyemi’s performance:
Terzic: “He made a lot of great moves, made the opponent overwhelmed, and the opponent fouled a few times because of him, because he always brought his speed into the game. We have planned to continue to use his strengths.
Coordination with teammates has also improved, and I am more confident in receiving the ball and giving it out with one kick.”
“Annoyingly, he’s suspended for the next two games: against Bochum in the DFB-Pokal for his previous red card against Hannover, and today he received his fifth yellow card in the league,
So I won’t be able to play against Werder Bremen next week.”
For Allais’ goal:
Terzic: “We originally hoped that this goal would have happened in July or August last year. But it happened today. This is an important goal. It happened in front of the yellow and black wall.
Makes us even happier. This goal means a lot to him and it means a lot to us. We hope it’s the first of many goals for him.”
Allais was previously diagnosed with testicular cancer and recovered after receiving treatment. The day of the game was the International Anti-Cancer Day. Dortmund officials also carried out a publicity campaign before the game calling on people to pay more attention to testicular cancer.
